Start of the New Year…

Hello everybody!

Its a new year and with that, new goals and just an all round feeling of fresh beginnings. As you can see, I gave the blog a bit of a new look too. Hope you like it! 😉

Last year was a hard year full of hard challenges, but I grew as a person and I am ever so thankful to the Lord for upholding me and teaching me along the way.

I know that I am excited for what this year holds for me and I am learning to worry less and do more! I have been thinking a lot about life,  I am realizing more and more that we only have one life to live, and I think that it is so important to live it fully and intentionally. I don’t want to waste my life. I want it to count. It is so easy to waste precious time staring at our screens scrolling away, or to wasting time talking about nonsense, when really, we as human beings are capable of accomplishing so much, if we set our minds to it.

God gave me very specific scriptures for this year and I am excited to see them working through me and around me. I would like to share with you just one of them. God just placed it on my heart in the most awesome way. I went for a swim the other evening in our dam, after a very hot day. The evening sunset was so beautiful and I was just so thankful to God in my heart. God spoke to me softly and gave me Psalm 145. I read it and it described the thoughts of my heart so perfectly. I encourage you to read it, to see how good God is and just to speak it over your life this year.

I am not the best person when it comes to New Year’s resolutions, in fact I usually don’t make any for fear of not accomplishing them. However, this year I had an idea. I printed out a calender page of the month of January.  I intend to write out different things to work on or accomplish on each day and then tick them off at the end of the day. That way I hold myself accountable for actually getting things done. I hate leaving tasks undone, so hopefully this inspires me to get moving. I can look back at the end of the month and see how I did and how I can move forward to the next month.

I hope that you are all  enjoying this new year. I hope that you will be encouraged and that we can all continue to grow in love and in the Lord. I have lots of plans for the blog and lots of goals to post more regularly, so we will see how that goes! 😀 I am also thinking of maybe doing a few You Tube videos, haha! Well maybe. No promises! 😉

Let me know in the comments about your New Year’s goals! I would love to hear! xx
