Spring has Sprung!

Hello all you lovely people!

Spring is finally here and with it comes much preparation here on the farm. I hope you will forgive me for the long silence but I have been very busy during the last couple of weeks! Not only have we been busy on the farm, but we have four birthdays in our family in September, so it is a very busy time of celebrations! I will probably do a birthday blog post in the near future, so you can keep an eye out for that.

I love spring! I love watching all the trees grow new leaves and all the plants start to flower and bloom again. I am also enjoying the slightly warmer weather. I think spring weather is the best! I am not a winter person and I don’t always enjoy the very hot summer months, so spring is just perfect for me!

My mom has been busy again in her flower garden. The flowers are growing nicely and she has had quite a few orders for bouquets! If you happen to live nearby, you are welcome to drop me an email if you would like to order a pretty country bunch.

My favorite flower at the moment is the lavender.

Twice a week, we pick the lavender to make into bunches for flower bouquets.

The lavender reminds me of France for some reason! I think it makes a very pretty country look. Oh…and my sister looks pretty too! 😉

This variety of lavender is perfect for bouquets as it grows nice long stalks! Surprisingly, it has very little scent. Almost nothing at all!

I noticed that the bees and butterflies love the lavender! I have never seen so many butterflies until we started growing flowers!

Do you like Lavender? What is your favorite season? Let me know in the comments. I would love to hear from you!

Have a lovely weekend!

For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations. Isaiah 61 vs 11

  1. I love lavender, and I want to grow a field of it next spring because currently we are entering fall. I have to say that the winter months are for me! Enjoy the sun!
